IMPORTANT NOTICE: The HomeAware® II uses audio listening technology to detect your existing smoke and carbon monoxide(CO) alarms. It does not detect smoke or gas directly.

Because it "listens" to the environment, it is susceptible to false alarms caused by other loud noises.

To ensure it will work in an emergency, it is IMPERATIVE that you:

• TEST the full system regularly by triggering your actual wall/ceiling smoke and CO alarms.
• UPDATE the device firmware regularly, using the HomeAware® App, to ensure the listening capability is working at its best.
