HomeAware® II Disaster Preparedness Kit
In the past few years, the threat of strong storms and other severe weather events has increased. When you are deaf, hard of hearing, elderly, hard to wake up, or need extra reaction time, responding to traditional emergency alerts for severe weather and for other disasters, like fires and carbon monoxide releases, may be extremely challenging or impossible. Luckily, the HomeAware® II Disaster Preparedness Kit amplifies and modifies existing alerts so that everyone can react to them. This powerful kit includes a HomeAware® II Main Unit, Bed Shaker, and a NOAA Weather Radio. All these components work together to keep you safe.
The HomeAware® II Main Unit has an integrated smoke and carbon monoxide (CO) sensor, smartphone transmitter, and a dual alarm clock. It translates alerts from your smoke alarm, CO detector, NOAA weather radio, and phone into a bright red scrolling 2-inch display, eye-catching strobe flash, 105 dB audible alarm, and/or a strong vibration with the included bed shaker. To ensure all components of the HomeAware® network are communicating with each other, the HA360M-II monitors your system every 2 to 3 minutes.
How does the HomeAware detect and amplify my alerts?
With the integrated smoke and CO sensor, your HA360M-II main unit listens for the sound or pattern of your smoke (T3) or carbon monoxide (T4) alarms. When a sound or pattern is registered, the system will notify you.
By linking the included NOAA weather radio to your system, your HomeAware® II device will also amplify weather alerts, so you never miss them, even without your assistive technology, like hearing aids.
The HA360M-II also has a built-in smartphone transmitter that will connect your smartphone to your HomeAware® system via the dedicated HomeAware® app Bluetooth connection, so you can be notified when a call or message comes in via scrolling caller ID.

My grandma lives in an area that frequently gets strong storms and it has always worried my mom because my grandma is deaf in one ear and hard of hearing in the other so she cannot hear sirens or alarms. We bought her this system and it has been really helpful. Two months going strong and it has worked every time she has any sort of severe weather warning.
